| Protein C Rocket Plates, 5 x 12 wells/plate | |
| Rocket Antigen Report Form, 1 sheet | |
| Rocket Ruler, 1/pkg |
The Protein C Rocket procedure is for quantitation of plasma Protein C Antigen by Laurell Rocket electrophoresis. The plate contains antiserum specific for Protein C. After electrophoresis, a rocket-shaped precipitin pattern forms along the axis of migration. The length of the rocket is proportional to antigen concentration.
Protein S Antigen Rocket Plates
| Cat. No. | Item |

| Protein S Rocket Plates, 5 x 12 wells/plate | |
| Rocket Antigen Report Form, 1 sheet | |
| Rocket Ruler, 1/pkg |
The Protein S Rocket procedure is for quantitation of plasma Protein S antigen (either total or free) by Laurell Rocket electrophoresis. The plate contains antiserum specific for Protein S. After electrophoresis, a rocket-shaped precipitin pattern forms along the axis of migration. The length of the rocket is proportional to antigen concentration. Free Protein S can be assayed on the same plate as total Protein S by treating the sample with Free Protein S Reagent (Cat. No. 5363).
Free Protein S Reagent
| Cat. No. | Item |
| 5363 | Free Protein S Reagent, 5 x 2 mL |
The reagent is a solution of PEG used to separate free Protein S from bound Protein S. For use with the Protein S Antigen Rocket Plates.
von Willebrand Factor Antigen (vWF:Ag) Rocket Plates
| Cat. No. | Item |
| 5361 | vWF:Ag Rocket Plates |
| vWF:Ag Rocket Plates, 5 x 10 wells/plate | |
| Rocket Antigen Report Form, 1 sheet | |
| Rocket Ruler, 1/pkg |
Accurate quantitative measurement of vWF:Ag in human plasma aids in differentiating von Willebrand Disease from Hemophilia A and in detecting carriers of Hemophilia A. Quantitation of vWF:Ag by Laurell rocket electro-immunodiffusion combines the specificity of immunochemistry with the speed of electrophoresis. The kit contains 5 plates with antiserum to human von Willebrand antigen incorporated into agarose.
Buffers for Rocket Assays
| Cat. No. | Item |
| 5358 | Tris-Tricine Buffer, 10 x 14.1 g |
| 5016 | Electra B1 Buffer, 10/pkg |
Tris-tricine Buffer is used in the Protein C and Protein S rocket electroimmunoassay methods. Electra B1 Buffer is used in the von Willebrand Factor Antigen rocket electroimmunoassay.
von Willebrand Factor Antigen (vWF:Ag) by ELISA
| Cat. No. | Item |
| 5290 | vWF:Ag ELISA Kit, 96 tests |
| vWF:Ag Microwell Plate, 12 x 8-well strips | |
| Sample Diluent, 1 x 60 mL | |
| ELISA Reference Plasma, 3 x 0.5 mL | |
| vWF:Ag Conjugate Solution, 1 x 12 mL | |
| Substrate, 1 x 13 mL | |
| Stopping Solution, 1 x 15 mL | |
| Phosphate Buffered Saline Concentrate, 1 x 30 mL |
This vWF:Ag assay uses an ELISA antibody capture sandwich technique to quantitate vWF:Ag in human plasma and is standardized against established reference preparations. Assay time is about an hour and final results are read at 450 nm. The key advantages of this new ELISA assay are its fast turnaround time and its ease of use. vWF:Ag is important in evaluating the pro-coagulant system, and von Willebrand Disease in particular.
Protein C Antigen by ELISA
| Cat. No. | Item |
| 5291 | Protein C ELISA Kit, 96 tests |
| Protein C Microwell Plate, 12 x 8-well strips | |
| Sample Diluent, 1 x 60 mL | |
| ELISA Reference Plasma, 3 x 0.5 mL | |
| Protein C Conjugate Solution, 1 x 12 mL | |
| Substrate Solution, 1 x 13 mL | |
| Stopping Solution, 1 x 15 mL | |
| Phosphate Buffered Saline, 1 x 30 mL |
This Protein C assay uses an antibody capture sandwich technique to quantitate Protein C in human plasma. Quantitative deficiencies of Protein C are associated with an increased tendency for thrombosis. The Protein C ELISA assay can be completed in about 90 minutes and is read at 450 nm. Its fast turnaround time and ease of use offer advantages over other Protein C assays.
Free and Total Protein S Antigen by ELISA
| Cat. No. | Item |
| 5292 | Protein S (Free & Total) ELISA Kit, 96 tests |
| Protein S Microwell Plate, 12 x 8-well strips | |
| Sample Diluent, 1 x 60 mL | |
| Free Protein S Reagent (PEG), 1 x 2 mL | |
| ELISA Reference Plasma, 3 x 0.5 mL | |
| Protein S Conjugate Solution, 1 x 12 mL | |
| Substrate Solution, 1 x 13 mL | |
| Stopping Solution, 1 x 15 mL | |
| Phosphate Buffered Saline, 1 x 30 mL |
This 90-minute ELISA assay for quantitation of free and total Protein S in human plasma is easy to perform and offers a rapid turnaround time. The assay is read at 450 nm. To determine free Protein S, the physiologically active form, the sample is pretreated with PEG to precipitate the C4b-binding protein complex. Deficiencies of Protein S are associated with increased thrombosis.
Monoclonal Free Protein S Antigen by ELISA
| Cat. No. | Item |
| 5293 | Monoclonal Free Protein S ELISA Kit, 96 tests |
| Free Protein S Microwell Plate, 12 x 8-well strips | |

| Substrate Solution, 1 x 13 mL | |
| Stopping Solution, 1 x 13 mL | |
| Phosphate Buffered Saline, 1 x 30 mL |
This assay uses a monoclonal antibody specific for Free Protein S in an ELISA format to measure Free Protein S directly without PEG precipitation. Incubation times for this procedure total 1 hour, allowing timely completion of testing. Results are read at 450 nm and calculated by comparison to an internationally recognized reference plasma.
